Seasons change and our home decor like the seasons change along with it, unless you're like me and you can still find your favorite Christmas accent pillow on the couch while the spring flowers bloom outside. Yikes!

Today I woke up thinking its time for a change! Together, lets change up our home decor thoughtfully and easily.  It doesn't take much effort if you know a few tricks. Here's what I usually do, let me know if you do the same! 

1. Hide the Past

Make sure you take down all holiday decor from the last holidays you decked the house with (ex. Christmas, Easter, Halloween). Find a nice plastic bin from a local home store and clear the decks! Get ready for the next season! 

2. Day Dream a little!

For the coming Summer Season, what do you want your house to look like and feel like when you invite your friends over for a cool glass of lemonade? Do you want to concentrate on your backyard and deck or do you plan on staying indoors where there is a cool breeze coming from your air conditioner! 

3. Start Small!

Don't think you'll need to update your deck furniture all at once. Lets start small or at least till something breaks. So, I usually start with a few pillows! This tip works for all seasons. Keep your large items natural and your seasonal decor light and small.

4. Add Memories

So, these are my simple pillow suggestions that are neutral for the summer and on top of this palette of coastal beachy colors, you can add souvenirs from all your summer day trips and vacations.

What to add to the decor?

1. Throw Blankets from your favorite Cape Town or Beach Resort

2. Bottle Openers on the Coffee Table for Guests

3. Souvenir Coasters

4. Don't forget Sea Shells and Sea Glass

5. Picture Frames with your favorite Summer Photos!

Then don't forget to put them away in a clean plastic pin or bag before you tackle the next season of pillows!
